Description
The Mediterranean cypress is native to the Mediterranean region and Western Asia and is cultivated in warm regions worldwide; it typically reaches a height of 20–30 m and a trunk diameter of 0.6–1.0 m. Its bark is fibrous to longitudinally fissured and greyish-brown, the wood light yellowish to reddish-brown. With a density of around 535 kg/m³, it is moderately elastic, fairly uniform, and easy to work, without exhibiting extreme mechanical properties.
Cypress wood possesses a dignified nobility that is immediately apparent. It appears calm, collected, and clearly focused. This wood represents poise and responsibility. It seeks bearers who can stand by their decisions and do not shirk responsibility when things get serious.
It often finds its way to people who act courageously while maintaining a stable inner compass. A willingness to sacrifice is part of this, as is the ability to accept the consequences. Cypress reliably recognizes these qualities and prefers to bond with personalities who remain dependable even under pressure and do not abandon their convictions.
Its most pronounced expressions lie in loyalty, dueling skills, and difficulty; it is precisely there that this material reveals its full potential. In its application, it is direct and controlled. In conflict, it works calmly, with clear leadership and without hesitation. Decisions are implemented cleanly, and the magic remains stable and precise even in tense situations.
Cypress wood demands a firm stance. Insecurity or inner wavering quickly lead to friction and diminish the quality of its effects. However, those who remain consistent gain access to a resilient and enduring form of magic that reliably endures over extended periods.
With the right binding, a wand of great clarity and permanence is created. Cypress responds strongly to true courage and answers with loyalty and assertiveness. Its qualities are particularly evident in moments when steadfastness matters more than mere strength.
