Description
The Demiguise is a peaceful, ape-like creature with the ability to become invisible. It lives a secluded life and avoids conflict, primarily using its special abilities for escape and protection. Demiguises possess a form of prescient perception that allows them to detect danger early. Their behavior is accordingly cautious and deliberate. Their hair is a rare material closely linked to perception and deception. The resulting magic is subtle and difficult to grasp, but particularly well-suited for applications where precision and timing are crucial. It demands attention and a good understanding of processes from the user, as it is less focused on direct enforcement.
Demiguise hair is not a material for direct effect, but rather for controlling the process. The magic works quietly, often unnoticed, and unfolds its strength where timing and precision are crucial. In practice, this is particularly evident in nonverbal magic and transmutation, where it achieves exceptionally high accuracy. Movements and transitions can be guided smoothly without the material itself contributing any impulses. At the same time, it almost completely lacks assertiveness. Its effect in duels is correspondingly weak, and even in forceful applications, the magic remains restrained. Healing work falls within the middle range, as the necessary precision is present without additional amplification. Stability is sufficient as long as the guidance remains clear, but not so pronounced that errors are actively compensated for. Demiguise hair is calm and reserved in its handling. Its low temperament ensures that no impulsive reactions occur and supports a smooth, controlled working method. Loyalty is present, but not binding. The material remains usable as long as the magician works precisely without becoming deeply ingrained. The clear absence of dark affinity is striking – corresponding applications are not worn. Charms remain in the lower to middle range, as the magic focuses less on effect and more on the process. Overall, a core material emerges that doesn't visibly dominate but guides: it demands attention, rewards precise execution, and unfolds its power not in the result, but in the journey.
