Description
The pedunculate oak ranges from Europe to West Asia and grows to a height of 24-35 m with a trunk diameter of approximately 1.0-1.5 m. Characteristic features include its deeply longitudinally fissured, grey to greyish-brown bark and light to medium brown, often slightly olive-tinged wood. With a density of around 675 kg/m³, oak is very strong, tough, and resistant to compression; its coarse, ring-porous, sometimes slightly interlocked structure remains easily workable but contains tannins and has open pores.
Oak wood is ancient in its essence and great in its loyalty. It exudes power, a connection to nature, and possesses that steadfast quality that remains equally reliable in good times and bad. This wood carries within it a quiet authority that doesn't need to be fought for, but arises from its very nature.

It seeks partners with courage, loyalty, and inner integrity – people who take responsibility and withstand pressure. Often, a pronounced intuition and a natural connection to the living world are evident. Oak responds particularly well to those who can not only act, but also perceive and contextualize.

Its most pronounced characteristics lie in loyalty, power, and temperament; it is precisely in these areas that this material reveals its full potential. The loyalty of the oak is deep and enduring. Once it has formed a bond, it remains reliable and stable, even under difficult conditions. Its power is robust and sustainable, less focused on quick results than on lasting impact.

The temperament of the oak manifests as a calm, constant strength. It works steadily, without sudden fluctuations, and reliably carries magic for extended periods. It unfolds its greatest strength particularly in protective spells, long-lasting effects, and nature-based magic.

Oak requires no excessive guidance, but a clear stance. Those who act uncertainly or impulsively will only be able to utilize its qualities to a limited extent. In steady hands, however, a wand of great reliability and depth is created.

Those chosen by Oak receive not a flashy, but a supportive companion – a wand that doesn't glitter, but bears, and whose strength unfolds primarily through time and consistency.
