Description
Fairies are small, mostly winged beings with a strong connection to natural environments. They appear in various forms, but often exhibit playful and elusive behavior. Their appearances are irregular and not always reliably predictable. Fairies are sensitive to changes in their environment and quickly withdraw when it is disturbed. At the same time, they can be active and present in stable, natural environments. Fairy wings are rarely used as core material, as they are difficult to obtain and even more difficult to work with. The magic contained within them is light, agile, and reacts quickly to external influences. It lends itself to subtle, precise applications, but is susceptible to interference and requires a steady, controlled hand.
Fairy wings as a core material don't provide power in the classical sense, but rather precision. The magic is light, agile, and reacts quickly to external influences, making it exceptionally well-suited for charms. There, it unfolds a clarity and fine-tuning that is hardly achievable with heavier materials. Healing applications also benefit from this, as clean, controlled execution is paramount. In duels, however, the limitations become clear: it lacks assertiveness, and the effect remains correspondingly weak. Stability is solid as long as the environment remains calm, but the material is sensitive to disturbances. Changes—whether in the caster or the environment—can noticeably affect the execution without the material itself becoming unstable. When handling fairy wings, above all, calmness is required. The temperament is moderate, but the responsiveness to external influences means that any unrest is immediately transmitted. Loyalty is present but not pronounced; the material remains usable as long as the conditions are right, without forming a firm bond. Nonverbal magic and transfiguration are solidly middle-of-the-road, but benefit greatly from clean, consistent handling. The limited affinity for darker applications is evident in a certain reticence – such spells are neither supported nor actively blocked. Overall, this results in a core approach that neither masks flaws nor replaces power, but rather makes clean work visible: easy to use with clear guidance, yet demanding in the face of any kind of interference.
