Description
Graphorns are large, robust creatures with thick skin and two distinctive horns. They live in mountainous regions and are considered difficult to tame. Their behavior is primarily defensive: they only attack when they feel threatened, but then react with great force. Graphorns possess a natural resistance to many forms of magic. This trait makes them particularly difficult to attack and increases their resilience in conflict situations. A Graphorn's horn is made of a durable material with stable, assertive magic. It is suitable for applications where durability and resistance are paramount. The magic is less flexible, but reliable and difficult to disrupt.
Graphorn horn works steadfastly and without evasive maneuvers. The magic of this material is stable and assertive; it reliably maintains effects once cast and persists even under pressure. In practice, this is particularly evident in duels: spells don't build up quickly, but they persist and are difficult to dislodge. This resilience makes the material predictable, but also inflexible. Transfiguration and charms are therefore not well suited to it, as it lacks flexibility and fine-tuning. Healing applications also benefit little from this, since the magic is geared more towards resistance than adaptation. However, its performance remains constant – external influences or countermeasures have comparatively little impact on the outcome. In handling, Graphorn horn is direct, but not restless. Its temperament is noticeable, but manifests more as pressure than fluctuation. Loyalty is moderate; the material remains usable, but requires clear, consistent guidance. It is not sensitive to minor errors, but tends to stick to its chosen course, even when correction is necessary. Nonverbal magic occupies a solid middle ground, without any particular enhancement or limitation. Overall, this results in core material designed for consistency: not very adaptable, but reliable and difficult to influence. Those who work with a clear strategy will achieve stable results – those who want to react flexibly will reach their limits.
