Description
The phoenix is a rare magical creature, primarily known for its life cycle: it burns and is reborn from its own ashes. Individual phoenixes live for a very long time and rarely appear. Phoenixes choose their mate and usually remain loyal to them permanently. This bond cannot be forced. Their behavior is calm and observant; they only intervene when there is a clear reason. Phoenix feathers are among the rarest core materials. The magic attributed to them is considered particularly versatile and reliable, but can be difficult to predict. It reacts strongly to the personality of the magician and evolves with them. Phoenix magic is less focused on immediate power than on adaptability and requires a certain degree of self-control.
With a phoenix feather, one doesn't work against the material, but with it—or not at all. These cores don't exert their power through brute force, but through adaptability. Their magic is broadly applicable and reliable in the sense that it sustains when the guidance is sound. At the same time, it remains difficult to predict because it binds strongly to the personality of the magician and develops with them. In practical use, this manifests as a consistent, controlled execution that rarely overreaches, but also doesn't deliver immediate impact in a duel. For healing work, however, it possesses a clear strength: not through intensity, but through consistency and clean execution. Its stability is moderate—it remains malleable enough to adapt without becoming unstable. The true peculiarity lies in the bond. A phoenix feather chooses, and once it has chosen, it stays. This loyalty is non-negotiable and irreplaceable; it is formed once and then sustains permanently. Accordingly, its temperament is calm—it doesn't react impulsively, but patiently, and only with clear guidance. Nonverbal magic demands precision but is neither actively supported nor hindered, while areas like transformation or charms are implemented solidly, if unspectacularly. Overall, the core material is less demanding than others but presupposes more: those who don't control themselves well won't find a clear path with it.
