Description
Veela are magical, humanoid beings found primarily in Southeast Europe. They can drastically alter their appearance and are extremely attractive when calm, while becoming significantly more dangerous when enraged. Their behavior is strongly influenced by emotions. They react quickly and intensely, both positively and negatively. These fluctuations are an integral part of their nature. Veela hair is occasionally used as core material, but it is difficult to handle. The magic it contains is sensitive to the caster's state of mind. It can be very effective in stable situations, but unreliable in uncertain ones. It is suitable for users who can well control their own reactions.
Working with Veela hair involves working under changing conditions, even if the environment remains constant. The magic of this material is strongly tied to the caster's state and reacts immediately to internal fluctuations. In stable moments, it can be extremely effective, especially in the realm of charms, where it displays an unusually clear and assertive effect. However, this strength is not consistently available. This lack of stability manifests itself in the fact that results can vary even when external parameters remain unchanged. For duels or healing work, this means: the power is there, but not reliably reproducible. Nonverbal magic, transfiguration, and general applications remain in the middle range, without a clear upward or downward trend, as long as the guidance remains clean. The real problem lies in the bond and the temperament. Veela hair shows little loyalty in the classical sense; it can be used, but not truly held. At the same time, the temperament is high—not uncontrollable, but constantly in flux. This combination makes handling it demanding: the material requires not raw power, but self-control. Those who cannot control their own reactions will not achieve consistent results, regardless of experience or technique. Accordingly, this core is only suitable for wands that are wielded consciously and whose users are able to maintain a stable emotional state. Otherwise, one is working less with the material and more against its shifting nature.
